Why is it closed? It's a pleasant place with good food and good prices. We ended up next door at Chiles & Chocolate. The food was very good, but the service was slower than a three toed sloth.

  • I called to order 2 nights and they were having some kind of electric or gas problem and weren't doing deliveries. I didn't realize they were still closed, but seems likely it's related.

Let us all pray that this catastrophe is temporary! If you're dying for an OV fix in the meantime, they do have a place in Carroll Gardens.
  • When I passed by it two or three evenings ago, there was a closed by Dept. of Health sign in the window.
  • DOH'd. They weren't closed because of electrical problems. The NYC Dept. of Health hasn't updated their listings yet for this latest inspection, but previous reports included plumbing violations and the potential -- but not the appearance -- for animals. The latter is basically standard for every restaurant, but I'd guess that the plumbing problems are what shuttered them this week.
