Washington Avenue disappeared from Google Maps!

('#-o') Anyone else notice that Washington Avenue NO LONGER EXISTS as far as Google Maps' database is concerned? Dropped out sometime late last week. GMaps began substituting Washington Street in Dumbo, and the one in the West Village, and whatever else it can think of.
This is SO FRUSTRATING - as someone who lives and dies by Gmap's Google Transit directions on iPhone to choose whether to walk to the C train or Flatbush every morning - and which train to take home at night.
PLEASE DO THIS NOW: zoom in on Washington Ave on Gmaps. Then click "report a problem" link at the extreme bottom right corner of the screen. Drop the pointer on Washington Ave on the map. Choose "street" from the dropdown, and paste this language (or your own version) into the text box and hit submit:
Washington Avenue in Brooklyn has gone missing from your Gmaps' search database, sometime around 6/25/10. PLEASE PUT US BACK ON THE MAP! Thank you! -
Wow. You seem really concerned about this.
Looks like it works for me although you don't specify where on Washington avenue. -
I don't see a problem with it on google maps..... it shows up when i put in an address ... but i don't live and die by gmaps google transit directions -- i use hopstop.

Its just a pain in the butt that effectively disables what's otherwise a really great service for anyone who lives over here. If you're an iPhone user, about 3 clicks and you know which way to walk for the next train, when it departs, and when you'll get where you're going. That's a pretty big deal when there's a 10 - 15 minute walk in opposite directions for any subway train.
I found a workaround - address + 11238. Don't mention Brooklyn or New York or it ignores Washington Avenue.
And yeah, probably got a little overexcited about it. Two cups of Fairway French Roast was a little more caffeine than I needed. -
A friend who lives in Vermont complained because Google Maps plots her town as being in the middle of Lake Champlain. Anyone want to write a song? http://techland.com/2010/06/11/hey-google-maps-why-is-randolph-vt-in-a-lake/

4. it was consolidated into park slope
5. code orange has gone too far -
Glad to know I'm not going crazy. I had to find the location of a friends place on the Wash Ave, other side of Atlantic. Google maps just decided it did not exist. So weird.
It is working fine now though.
