I moved from the area last week, after having my top floor apartment broken into back in April. I lived on Macon btw Patchen Ave & Malcolm X Blvd. I would advise anyone who lives there, or who plans on living there, to get gates for all of your windows. I had 2 gates on 3 of my windows. 1 window was on the fire escape, another was next to the fire escape. The people who came into my apartment came through the only window not covered by a gate. They live 2 houses down from my former residence and have robbed other people in the neighborhood in the past. I've given the police all the information I could, but since I do not have the name of a person and only their address, they can't do anything. Everyone I spoke to knows who it was, but refused to give me a name. I just want to warn others so they don't have go through what I did.

My recommendation: Deal with them. Don't wait around for the police who rarely seem to catch anyone for this kind of stuff.

If you know the address, head on down there with a gang of angry residents. If there have been this many break-ins, it shouldn't be too hard to round people up. It's absurd that it keeps happening despite your having this guy's address.

If you're not up for taking action yourself, at least publish the address here so that other people know it.
