twelve step meetings in the neighborhood?

is there anyplace in PH that hosts twelve step meetings -- AA, SA, ALANON, etc.? not that anyone here isn't perfect or would know about such things, but usually there's a church or community center where you see people gathering before or after and i haven't seen such a thing around here.

An NA chapter meets in the St Theresa's complex in Crown Heights, they put out signs on meeting nights.....

Please let me know what zip you are interested in and I may be able to make suggestions.

Also, in Park Slope, there are Al-Anon meetings a few times per week, again, please let me know what zips are good for you.

Most SA/SLAA/SAA, etc., meetings are in NYC but if you are flexible...in which fellowship you would like to attend....again, how far do you wish to travel, etc.

Could be a good intro as you will meet folks who attend the area meetings.

I think the meeting list from NYC Intergroup is more up to date than the other list that was posted: http://www.nyintergroup.org/meetinglist/areamap.cfm?boro=BK .

Unfortunately, there aren't any meetings in either Prospect Heights or Crown Heights, so I've been going to Park Slope instead. There are others in Bed-Stuy, but since PS is closer, I've just been going there, or meetings in Manhattan, near where I work.

Contact me off list if you want some recommendations. I'm not too familiar with NA or Al-anon, but can make some for AA.
