Donating a PS2 + games to a charity

I have a mint PS2 slim with a couple of games (including guitar hero) that I'd like to donate to a worthwhile charity. I called the Boys & Girls club but they weren't interested. I'd be willing to drop off within a reasonable subway ride from Park Slope

Thoughts?

And no - I don't consider out-of-work hipsters a charity.

  • Try the hospitals.
  • How about St. Vincents Services? They run a few group homes for adolescents. ....their main office is at Atlantic and Bourum place
  • http://www.childsplaycharity.org/

Edit: My apologies, they can't accept used systems directly as a donation. You can eBay it and have the funds directed to the charity, but that's probably two or three more steps than you're looking for.
  • Thanks for the ideas.

I've contact St. Vincent's and a couple of the nearby hospitals. I'll post the results in case someone else wants to do the same
  • you sell your system on ebay and go to any native american casino with that money. the money would goto a native american tribe some where. they got screwed enough by the white man, might as well do something nice for them by losing money.

in my previous post that got deleted didn't have too much detail only said look at my sig. now it should be clear.
  • St. Vincent's was an excellent suggestion. They were very excited to receive the donation. Thanks all.
  • in NYC maybe Ronald Mc Donald House they house kids/families here in NY Hospitals that have come for specialized treatment/ surgeries
