LIRR/atlantic center

i know this isn't a PS post but i had no idea where else to put it.

if i take the G train to fulton i can transfer to the LIRR (says a: hopstop, and b: the LIRR website). am i transferring underground? outside?

I've never seen an underground passage at the Fulton stop. I've gotten off there but then had to go up to the street and then walk back toward Atlantic Center. So if there is one, it's not readily apparent. But it's only a little over a block away.

It will let you off near BAM.

Step 1: Get above ground.
Step 2. Find BAM and walk toward it.
Step 3. Walk around BAM, toward the Williamsburg Bank building.

You will be outside, not inside.

take the f or g to fourth ave and switch to the manhattan bound RR to pacific st,, where there is an underground passage that will lead you to the LLIR

Out of curiosity, is there any reason why you're trying to stay below ground? It's not like you'll be saving any $, and the time it takes to walk from the Fulton Street G stop is likely shorter than the time it will take to switch to the R, wait for the R, and then walk the 2 blocks (and several sets of stairs) underground (the R platform at Atlantic/Pacific is at one end of the station, the LIRR terminal is at the other).

those are good thoughts. i have a tendency, when i come out of the subway in a place i'm not used to, to walk in the entirely wrong direction and get lost. then i will get sweaty and mad, equally. underground, there are signs. it's also longer and hotter.
