Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi guys......

I can't believe how far Kati has come in 3 weeks.........she's getting back to her old self and I couldn't be happier.

Judy....she doesn't have to wear a brace....would you believe right out of surgery they had her on her back. She came home with only the steri-strips on her incision and now nothing. It's amazing.

Suzie.....congratulations......I love happy news.

Patsy.....that's the hardest part of dieting....resisting temptation.....although I always gave myself a free day on sundays as long as I went right back on monday and it worked for me.

Anthony......stay dry out there......it's starting to rain.

Helen......Hope today is a better day for you.

Terry.....safe flight home for you and Lori.

Jeanette.....where are you?? lol

Well I always have a story to tell...
Get the shuttle at 7:40 a.m. get to airport 8:10 check in got to gate and wait for my flight leaving 9 22.
Sitting, sitting. go shopping, go get coffee.
I am so confused with the one hour time difference.

I look at Lori and she looks at me and I say. something is wrong why didn't we board it is 9 55. I scream 9 55 maybe we are at the wrong gate????????
Wrong gate NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Run up to the desk show our ticket and the lady says....Where have u two girls been we paged you 6 times. WHAT??????

We have been sitting right in front of the desk we never heard boarding, never heard our names...Holy S--t We missed our flight sitting right there.
How the hell did we not hear any announcements?????

Well Ethel and Lucy had to wait until the next flight 12:17 and thank God there were seats.
Now I am on the plane and the lady next to me gets sick and passes out and gets oxygen. She says do you have a mint and I go and look for the mint and she is gone. She went in the back of plane I follow her give her the mint and she passes out. Is there a doctor or nurse on the plane. OMG In the end she was back in her seat and better thank You Jesus...
What a day!!

Hi Terry, Welcome home!
As far as your airport fiasco is concerned, well all the announcements over the PA in airports sound the same to me. Something like "brgh lfto prok eleband folc wakjdr, have a nice flight". Of course I am an old goat but I think all airports bought their PA systems in Woolworths or Kresge"s and of course since they are out of business they can not go back for warranty repairs. Glad you eventually made it. As far as the lady passing out, I was on a flight, 6 seats across the middle and I sat next to a female Andre the Giant. Do not know how she got in the seat or how she got out without a crane. I was so squeezed in I could not move. Oh well, such is life. 8-[
