20,000 in the park?
is it possible that 20-thousand people were at the sharon jones & dap kings concert at the bandshell on saturday night?.. that's what jones said from the stage. i can believe it.. the line was long enough.. but has anyone seen an official estimate of the turnout?

It must have been a lot of people, because I usually can't hear the people cheering like I was able to last night from my house.

Possible, that's when the venue was closed. The Roots had a whole lot more, and that was just chaotic.

the bandshell area itself supposedly holds 6,000. It's possible the rest gathered outside the fence and across the park drive.
By the way, who was playing around 2-3pm? Was it their soundcheck/warmup or another act? -
