Perhaps the driver tried to park his, um, car in the "wrong" place.
.....that always gets people into trouble.

Read somewhere else it was an elderly gentleman who lost control of the car and there were no injuries. Hoping that is true. Wondering if store will be closed for a while. NYC is pretty strict about follow up on structural damage.
