Anyone experiencing low electricity?

yup, 7th and lincoln here and we're flickering. if my AC goes out i'm going to kill someone
-
Yep, in WT. AC just isn't really getting cold and I keep getting dips in the lights.
After the weekend I just had, I couldn't deal with no electric. Somebody would get hurt. -
When I was running the dishwasher the lights were flickering
-
My TV won't turn on. But then the lights flickered on and off and the TV went on. But now, it won't go on again. I wonder if I can use my computer tomorrow to work? This laptop is always on and is on batteries anyway.
-
I just spoke to the guy heading up Con Ed work on 7th Ave and 4th who said "The Main Feeder Went" but when I asked him if we would lose power he said "I don't think so."
Lights are noticebly dim in my apt and some of the lights on 7th Ave are out out out. -
the flicker/dimming/ac turning off compressor thing happened for about 30 seconds here; super creepy
-
is anyone still having issues currently? I'm at work (in Manhattan) and I'd hate for the electricity to blow while my little guy is home alone (my dog)
We've been having some drainage of power, not as bad as "the night the lights went out on Union". That night I was running on spit! -
just a few little "dips", but still have power

oh man.... while working, i get the worst thoughts of me coming home late and my dog drooling blood outta her noggin' from this infernal heat.

If you have an old-school answer machine at home call and see if it picks up. I used to check on my power this way, but now I have VM

Do you leave the A/C on for her? -

the only reason i have an A/C is for her
i do fine with just a fan
yes. i do keep it on. prob costs me ~ $200/month in the summer -

i don't worry about it too much because the person
who originally rescued her off the street
couldn't handle raising her cause she already had a dog
so i adopted that dog a month later
this same person, let's call her rita
–takes better care of my dog than i do sometimes
my dog is late getting home. i bet you they're at the dog beach -
Dog going out without you, huh?
I'm airconditioning half of my house and my 2 cats are sleeping in the other half. Go figure. -
yea. she came home late soaking wet from the doggie beach
she played with one of her boyfriends. this young pit bull mix
got home. ate some kibble with soup
a few treats. some glucosamine chews. laid out flat on the floor
the door is closed otherwise she'd be panting out in the unA/C'ed half of the apt
animals know a/c is not kosher -
yeah, what's up with that? i have one air conditioned room, and the rest of the place is god-awful. where is the cat? in the god-awful.
-
my apt. is a floor-thru, so I have 2 ACs. I usually either cool the living room and dining room (and watch TV) or the bedroom and office (computer, other TV) and close off the kitchen, spare bedroom, bathroom, hallway, etc.
Not only is my cat in the god-awful part, he's snuggling in the furry kitty bed. He's crazy, but I love him. The other one is on the floor right next to him. -

dang your cats in heat

or just enjoying heat :P. -
yup, i'm also in a floor thru--cat's in front part, in the non airconditioned livingroom/kitchen, i'm in the back in the a/c.
-
my cats are definitely not in heat. Just a bit kooky
-
My dogs are like that too. I have to drag them into the air-conditioned room. They prefer to lie in the un-airconditioned hallway, panting and drooling and looking like they're about to die. They are weird.
-
and the whole blogging world is taking pictures of their hot and lazy cats. it's kind of hilarious.
-
personally, I am a fan of:
www.stuffonmycat.com
it changes almost daily -
we were separated at birth; i just spent half an hour over there
-
ewwwwwwww. i just picked up the phone.
one of those cordless ones where the battery is on the handset itself
it's steaming hot.
like a pizza fresh outta the oven! -
my cats were on that site once in a full-on smackdown (think standing on 2 paws in a great wrestling stance wrapped around each other).
-
I love these 5 cats on the bed (a few down from the top). Talk about HEAT!

kinka stays about 5 feet from the ac. She's a smart girl
-
harriet-kitty just keeps going back and forth from the hottest place to the coolest. strange kitty...
Howdy, Stranger!
