My cousin Debbie Pazzas her mom lived on 21st street. Her mom was loretta and she looks like her. Her Mom was much older than us Debbie is 56 I think and she probably lived there also or visitd her Grandma Fina and Grandpa Ralph Leone

WELL WE ARE PREPARING FOR MR. EARL THE HURRUCANE !!!!!!....I HOPE WE DONT GET SLAMMED.....WITH NO POWER.....LOL.....IF SO WERE GOING TO HAVE A HURRICANE PARTY IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM, WERE THERES POWER.....BOUGHT SOME WINE COOLERS,.....AND YEA SOME BATTARIES TOO.....THATS HOW I PREPARE FOR EMERGENCY...LOL

Hello All, Special note to all on the waters edge, Staten Island, Jersey Shore, Long Island and all points North including Rhode Island Jeanette. We have been through Hurricane warnings many times in the 13 years we live here in Florida. The best advice is, if you get a definite WARNING that Hurricane winds are imminent, get to the interior of your home/apartment. A closet or bathroom WITHOUT a window. Bring a deck of cards and a portable radio as well as some drinking water and a snack. Hunker down in that room until the ALL CLEAR sounds on your radio or whatever your local authorities use to advise you. DO NOT stick your head outside to see what is going on and DO NOT go out when the eye of the storm is passing over you. There could be just as much damaging weather on the other side of the eye. Carol & I spent a few hours in the walk in closet several years ago. (No, nothing romantic happened) Luckily we sustained no damage to people or property. Just lost some shrubs and trees. DO NOT feel like a damn fool if you follow above and nothing happens. Consider yourself lucky and get on with life. 8-[

Sorry if the above advice frightened anyone. Just precautions that should be taken if a hurricane is in the immediate area. I lived in Brooklyn from my birth in 1933 until my move to NJ in 1960. Even then, we moved just across the GW bridge and had no damage.Only once did a hurricane come anywhere near us. The good drainage in Park Slope protects most homes from flooding. The homes being so close together protects from the winds. I do not think Staten Island is going to float away either. The statue of the Polish General Polaski in Staten Island has been there a long time without blowing over. Just use common sense until the storm blows over and you will be fine. By the way. There is no forcast that I know of that says more then Earl MAY brush the NYC area. :shock:
