Subject: Let's eat Kosher Pizza at Basil Thursday 10/21/10

I've talked with some folks off line, and there seems to be some interest in going to Basil (a pizza place that it is run by Orthodox Jewish folks but open to everyone). It's on Kingston Avenue.

So far I've jabbered with LaurelB of Nostrand Park, HisCrownHeights, Clayfilms (via HCH) and Mrs. Whynot. We are already at 5.

A group of -say- 8 people would be ideal. More would certainly be welcome.

Here are my first three thoughts:

1. We obviously should not attempt to go on a Saturday, when it will be closed. 8) ....I dunno, maybe Thursday 10/21/10 at 7:30 PM? ?

2. While they serve pizza, it is Kosher ....hence it will be a little more expensive than folks are used to, and without pork or shrimp. ....Fear not, my extensive research has shown that pizza can be yummy with other toppings.

3. Unlike some Brooklynian get togethers, this event won't be at a bar ....those folks who seek an alcohol focused event will be disappointed.
