Watch Repair — Brooklynian

Watch Repair

A piece from my watch band is missing. It's a universal, easy piece to replace at a watch repair shop, but yet I know of none in Greenwood Heights/Park Slope, let alone one that would be open after I get home from work at 6:30. I'd like to avoid going to a place like JCPenney in the city (due to their long hours). Any suggestions?

  • There used to be a place on Fifth Avenue around 32nd, 33rd street run by a guy called Hector Lisanti. I'm not sure what time he stayed open until, but I remember him as being quite a character when I lived in that nabe a few years ago.
  • There a place in crown heights on corner of kingston ave and union st called bardys....the guy there is very good, and fairly well priced
  • Macy's on Fulton St has a watch repair department -- I'm not sure what the hours are, but they may be open in the evenings during the week. There is also a jewelry/watch repair shop on the west side of Flatbush right in front of the Seventh Ave B/Q subway station.
