    Alright! I was afraid that I was the only geek on here - but hey, this is the internet, right? Geeks abound.

    I'd love to get a small group together to play Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, or any other geeky board game. Besides the Tea Lounge, what public venues would be a good place to play? The Gate might be good, if we could get an outdoor table.

    Settlers of Catan is certainly geeky, but D&D is a whole other level of geek-dom. What next, LARP in Prospect Park? (which actually wouldn't surprise me, considering some of the people who came out of the woodwork for the Sakura Matsuri Festival at the Botanical Gardens).

    Yeah, the gate would be good. If we got there early maybe? I have people that would definitely play if you want to just pick a night.

    I haven't played Settlers of Catan, but I've heard good things about it and am interested in playing. Would you be willing to deal with a newbie? I do have some RPG experience, and experience with Steve Jackson-type games like Illuminati and CarWars.

    I also have Illuminati (original and deluxe editions), and my friend Chris has the Lord of the Rings version of Risk. Outgeek that!
