Good men are not hard to find

This is a great idea but I always wondered that without a car or any weapons, aren't they just as vulnerable after dropping off the person they are escorting as they walk back to the subway stop alone? I remember there were women a few years ago, I think on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, who would escort single women they saw walking out on the street and give free rides home, but they had a car and were presumably safer. I hope it works out for the best.
