Bed bug hysteria — Brooklynian

Bed bug hysteria

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug

After 9/11, we went thru a period where we closed subway stations because of suspicious powders (often determined to be Sweet and Low that uncaffinated commuters spilled on the floor by accident).

As demonstrated in this story, will we now routinely close stores and hospitals as a result of someone reporting that they saw a bedbug?

....unless we bring back DDT, we may have to accept these annoying little critters as part of city living.
