  • PLEASEEE Scarlett come! I can't remember the last time I saw you xoxo

I will be there along with the ol' ball and chain.

  • Stacey! I may make it, but it's on a Friday night and I work super early on Saturday. Plus I WILL NOT TOLERATE Whynot. And definitely not him singing! If I can give myself a time limit, or a drink limit, I will see you there!

  • karl will be there

but he will not be visible

    the eyes of

    mere mortals

  • Clayfilms and HisCrownHeights have stated they will be there. They were visible when I saw them last.

  • Cool.

    I'll.

    Be.

    There.

    Maybe.

  • I just add something we forgot. FOIST-A-THON!!

Like one of the get together's last year. Bring what ever gifts or crap you don't want and exchange goodies if you like.

*Last years set of reindeer over mitts you just can't stand?

*The novelty snowball your in-laws sent you?

*VCR that's been sitting in a closet?

*Assortment of brick a brak you want to toss out the window?

Bring it and foist it on to someone else.

  • karl will bring treasure

    but not for all

  • Whynot will not attempt a version of Oh Canada.

However, late in the evening, after Whyfi and Scarlett have left, Whynot may instead try to have people sing this to the tune of Happy Birthday:

    Happy Festivus to us

    Happy Festivus to us

    Happy Festivus tooooooo Brooklynian

    Happy Festivus to us!

  • I totally want singing, especially as I'll be celebrating the start of a new job!!! Celebration!!!!!

  • How did I forget about this? I'll be there!

  • I'm there! I mean not now; that would be hardcore.

  • Clayfilms and HisCrownHeights PM'd me stating they are now not going to come, likely because one didn't talk to the other before stating "they were coming".

Newbies and lurkers should join us, if only to fulfil their curiousity.

    Here's a guide

    1. With no fanfare what-so-ever, the festivus pole and the Whynots will arrive around 7:30.

    2. I'll bring markers so people write on the pole.

    3. The newly employed Mamacita will bring the official Brooklynian sign (see first post in this thread) to ceremoniously mount on top of the pole.

    4. Newbies and lurkers will know they have found us when they come to Sharlenes, see the above pole, with the above sign, surrounded by incredibly good looking people.

    5. Based on pure speculation, I think there will get around 15 - 20 people there.

  • Nice. Maybe there will get even more!

  • I'll be there.

  • Is anyone doing the Foist a Thon part or should we reschedule till after the holiday?

  • Their happy hour ends at 7pm, right? If so, this unemployed guy will be there closer to 6pm. What's wrong with you people? Steppin' on crack vials and not taking advantage of a perfectly good happy hour...

  • You have a point my friend. You should tell them that we'll bring them guaranteed business of at least 15 people and therefore happy hour should be extended until 8. Cause...you know...folks are busy at 6.

  • Whyfi, I'll try to be there on the early side to take advantage of the HHR too.

  • NEVER crowded - ha ha.

  • Just found out it's either this evening or not for another week to get our Xmas tree so we're about to head out to do that.

It'll probably be more like 10 or 10:30pm if we can find everyone in the crowds. :D

  • Too much holiday cheer last night. Ugh. Sorry to be missing this. Have fun.

  • yup, there was between 15 and 20 of us.

  • karl left treasure

    and was clearly invisible

    to the naked eye

then he realized he was at oconnors

  • whynot clothed his eye,

and thinks he may have seen saw Karl.

...there was some guy muttering about Bertha that looked like a Druid.

  • clearly that was rev herbert daughty

he settled for so much less

  • Crap. Xmas tree picking was preceded by dinner at La Villa in Marine Park then several Ommegangs at home while setting it up.

Sorry for f*cking up and missing this. I blame Girls With Accents.

    :drunken: #-o

    Cheers (or Grievances, whatever).

  • Awesome time was had. Nice to see some old school brooklynian's that I rarely get to hang with like Bill C., Homeowner, Daily Heights, Mahina and some dude in a yellow suit and orange tie...

    Jeffrey, your presence was missed.
