i would love for you to show me how a jewelry or a buy and sell store would put you or your family in any risk please stop by the store and explain it to me and then maybe i will understand because at this point you make no sense why you or any one would want to boycot any store -
Dear Crow Hill Jewelry dude, Thanks for not making the sun burn out and bringing a crime tsunami when you opened. Other area business owners had a bit of grief when CHA when asked for donations and they declined. I would have thought the community change that CHA seeks would have been easier with dialogue between the 2 of you. Thank you for the tax revenue, jobs and use of a blighted store front that you bring. Unlike the big hole in the ground with the quaint murals surrounding it, your actions vs words are helpful. That is a stupid fucking mural but I will try to overlook it. I hope CHA will concentrate on the blight condition that is sweeping the area. Far too many empty stores. The 1000's of sq feet unbuilt at Franklin and EP are beyond reason. Don't dig a hole and then leave a grave behind of where a business was once standing. The affordable housing and jobs that should be a priority may be a harder fight but you appear a little small for the level of public outcry.

Buy and Sell jewelry and electronics store owner if you would like an explanation of how your establishment puts the community at risk please read the following document. The document focuses on Pawn Shops which it is my understanding have more regulations to adhere to by law than buy and sell jewelry and electronic stores are required to. It should clear up your confusion.

The mural was something that I Stacy from chca talk about before it was put up the chca ask me to remove the big sign on the top of the laundry so I removed it and took a nice lose so I hired an artist just like chca told me to and the neural went up by the way I did donate $ 500.00 -

Pawn shops second hand dealer scrap dealers any one that has a second hand has the same rules as a pawn shop I guess you are not in the business nor fallow the new rules and regulations that comes up every year and I am sure you never check with any local police station all you did was Google some bull shit if you don’t know anything about this business or how its ran you should not make an ass out of yourself if you feel that a buy gold place is putting your family at risk I feel very sorry for you and you thing to boycott a store is the right thing to do then it’s your choice but please don’t tell me how to run a legal buy and sell or pawn shop or jewelry shop because you have no clue and if you need me to educate you stop by the store and speak to me I don’t bite don’t hide behind a computer and think you know it all

CROW HILL JEWELRY:
Can you please comment on how you will deal with the possibility that some the merchandise you purchase will be stolen? Will there be video cameras in the store, and will you keep records? Will you require ID? Will you work with police if it is found that you have unknowingly purchased stolen merchandise?
Thanks in advance.

if you need me to educate you stop by the store and speak to me I don’t bite don’t hide behind a computer and think you know it all
well said, again

Mr. met please stop by the store just take a look I use one of the best security system on the market DGA my store has 24 hour video and audio every person that sells an item must show a valid id and must sign an affidavit that he or she is the owners the item and we ask you the property that you are selling is it yours also I must add that we use leads online every night the police dept gets a report of all transactions that where made that day
You tell me if you stolid something would you bring to me I don’t think you would try to find a place that takes no id and has no video and audio -
I would prefer to have you document your answers here.
Excellent questions Mr. Met. I would like to add one: How will the store deal with the challenge of fake I.D. which criminals will present when fencing stolen goods?
-
Yup, don't hide behind a computer.

that's great to hear. a lot of people just assumed the worst, but it sounds like you're on top of things.
good enough for me. good luck with the business!

So as long as the criminals have a matching 2nd fake i.d. made at the same time as the first funny looking one, they are good to go. Let's all just hope that you trying your best is good enough or boycott instead.
Thanks you've answered all my questions.

Crow Hill Community Association is united in stating that a “We Buy Gold & Electronics” establishment is not an appropriate business in Crow Hill, especially not located on a residential side street. its a commerical block like all other blocks that have store half way in to the block
We feel such a business will encourage crime in our community and attract criminals looking to unload stolen goods.how explain proof your point
The community is offended that this business has co-opted the use of the name “Crow Hill” and by the large exterior mural that they have painted depicting a baby in diapers clutching money and sitting amidst gold coins and jewelry on a bright purple background.
crow hill is a common name why can other people use why you pointing at me explain to me how its ok for other stores to use crow hill the mural was your idea not mineIn an attempt to put pressure on the landlord to act more responsibly to the community, we are united in boycotting any business renting at the following locations:

Mr. met
Thank you Mr. met
I just felt if people in the community had a problem why not talk to me why run to chca or launch pad or speak to others that don’t know how this store works and doesn’t realize that I can be a help I mean they look at me every day like I am the bad guy I am looking to offend anyone or hurt anyone feeling
That why I wanted to answer people concerns my self
And I keep telling everyone stop buy the store just take a look that’s all -
Now I need the community help
I am printing 500 t-shirts with the mural of the baby (I know some people don’t like it)
I want to sell them for $20.00 each and donate the money back to the community looking for a place that I can donate t the money to I support
American cancer society any other suggestions
Thank you
Eugene -
I'm not sure Mr.Met and Whynot are going to buy 250 baby bling shirts each but good luck with that.
-
People are welcome to open a business in any location they choose as long as it follows all laws. With that said, I really hope your business fails. Establishments like that and that tacky mural are an eyesore. Sucks that living in this type of city brings up conflicts like this.
I wish more commercial property owners were as mindful as those who own the stretch of Bergen between Flatbush and 5th ave. They took their time and vetted prospective tenants until they had businesses that added to the neighborhood.
