Owner of Merv's Bakery on Nostrand/Pres Shot Killed

Did you know him?
-
Merv was a fixture on Nostrand Avenue. The story about people lining up outside his place to get a taste of home was no exaggeration. He may not have changed the world, but he made a lot of folks who lived far away from home happy by bringing them a taste from home.
RIP Merv. My deepest condolences to the family.

No I didn't know him, but he was much loved. That bakery has been around for many, many years.
