And a lot of people admit that they keep on reading her, even as they complain about her writing style. So again, she's attracting readership, not to mention debate. This is a successful columnist, in my book.

    Sure, if you subscribe to the "there's no such thing as bad publicity" theory. I, for one, don't. At this point, I've never read Smartmom. Based on what I've heard, I never will.
  • The "Dumbwhore" satire column was a much more interesting read than the original Smartmom...
