Need opinions on a gift

It sounds romantic to me. :santa:

it sounds perfect to me. far too much pressure is put on the right or the wrong gift; if you know it's something that she loves, that's all that should matter.
well done for buying something special.

As a gf, I would approve of such a gift. It's something you'll enjoy for a long time, so imo, a better gift than random more disposable things. And to me, it makes such things, that I want and might have bought for myself anyway, more meaningful to say "___" go that for me.

That sounds like a beautiful gift because it is something that says "we have a life together" and you both love it. Frankly, even if it was art that you didn't care for but you know she loved it still would be a great statement of "we live together and I will compromise."
Ribbons! Wrap! Whatever works!

Is it a reproduction or original?

I agree it's very thoughtful and meaningful to both of you.
You mentioned you have other gifts, so she's a lucky girl.
But for "just her" to think of "just you" every time she wears it would be any kind of jewelry gift. Doesn't have to be over the top pricewise. Nothing I wear is expensive, but it's from him, and he thought of me wearing it..
I don't think your gift is lame, and it is thoughtful, but throwing a little romance in the mix may be very useful. -
Thanks everybody, I'm much more excited about giving this to her now! My initial worry was that it was a selfish gift, but it is something I know she will love and it does beat buying something random just to buy something. Many gifts are often shared or enjoyed by the household.
To mod: It is part of a series, but each one is unique and original
To annie: Already have a jewelry item on the list, we're good!

sounds like awesome gift. than again i don't know jack about girls or gifts

The important thing is not WHAT it is but that she believes you have chosen it for her because she really likes it. The thought counts but the effort is what matters. As long as she will be genuinely thrilled and doesn't just think you bought it for yourself with the excuse that she'll like it too, you'll be fine. Personalisation is key. Women love that you took the time to think about what makes them happy. Knowing you did that is what will make her happy!

My ex-boyfriend got me an umbrella for christmas. I broke up with him a month later.
As long as you don't do that you're fine.
-
just as long as it's clear that she gets to keep it if you break up.
