Promote your business: NYE Happenings Thread
What the topic title says; if you have a bar/restaurant/performance space in Park Slope, I want to hear what's going on New Year's Eve. Let us know about specials, hours, necessity of reservations, and prices. Keep me from fighting with a cabbie to take me back Brooklyn by letting me know what's going on in the neighborhood this Friday. Also interested if you have something going on in Prospect Heights.

i was thinking that i might make it a real big night and buy a bag of doritos like we used to do on new years when i was little.
i'm going to go to key food to get my doritos.
i'll probably go for a run at about 7:30 on new years eve so that i am back home in time to use the weights and machines in the building's fitness room before it closes at 10:00. If I need to use the bathroom, there a unisex bathroom in the fitness room. i hope i don't have to go whilst i'm running around the edge of the park, but if i do, i'll try to find a secluded area.
when i am done exercising, i'll take a shower and put on my nice sweatpants. i'll probably run the washer with my running clothes in it because i really layer-up when i run outside at this time of year and i actually get really sweaty. because of this, it is important that i hydrate properly as well.
i'll weight myself on the scale after i throw my laundry in the machine. i could weigh myself before putting the laundry in, but the scale has a warning that it is slippery when wet, and i would hate to slip and fall over. it would really ruin what is obviously a pretty awesome new years for me and my girl.
after that's all done, it will probably be about 10:45, at least her in the eastern time zone. thus, i'll take the dog out in hopes that the drunkards are all inside being merry. i don't trust drunken people walking on ice around my dog. he's so little.
then i'll come back in. it will be around 11:00. hopefully, my girlfriend will have opened the doritos for me so that I don't have to waste time doing that.
i'll eat my doritos for the next half hour and then we'll shut the bag and turn off all the lights and electronics. then, we'll wait in silence about a half hour for the new year to begin. we'll look out the big windows in our living room and listen for distance sounds of celebration at midnight. there's nothing better than listening to the near year start all around you.
at about 12:01 on january 1, 2011, i'll brush my teeth and help the girlfriend move the dog and the space heater into the bedroom. and we'll go to sleep right away.
i can't see taking a cab into the city with all of THIS excitement going on.

Aquamann, I dream of an exciting life like yours.

Yes, it is all very exciting. Perhaps you will all forgive my numerous typing errors in the knowledge that my overwhelming levels of excitement about new years eve rendered me completely unable to communicate as clearly as I would normally hope to do.
Also, feel free to use any of my New Years ideas that you wish... free of charge.

I will.
...Especially now that world will end in only two years. http://www.december2012endofworld.com/
Prior predictions have had me partying without cause, but this time the nutjobs are correct. I am certain of it.
