I hear its girl scout cookie time of the year.

Last year the girl scouts had a pop-up cookie shop at St. George's church (corner of Marcy & Gates Ave) in Bed-Stuy. Call the church to find out if they'll be there again this year.

Or you could pm Xlizellx... She mentioned recently that she is involved with the girl scouts.

do they still make samoans? Those are the best. xlizellx, hook us up!

We aren't allowed to sell online BUT here are my suggestions:
1) right now is "ordering time". So no cookies are on hand. You can call 212-645-4000 and ask council for your closest troop.
2) Once cookies are delivered you'll see Booth Sales. That's when a troop takes the risk and over-orders on cookies and then sells them on the street/in businesses, etc. I am hoping to hear back from some local businesses on Franklin Avenue to try to sell in the area, but we'll see. That won't be until mid-March.
3) Once cookies are in you can also buy them right at the council building. It's on 23rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue, across the street from the Home Depot (43 W. 23rd Street). You can go in and buy the cookies.
NOTE: This year cookies are $4.00 per box. Also, only the 6 major cookies are being sold now --
Samoas (Carmel DeLights)
Do-si-does (Peanut Butter Sandwiches)
Trefoils (Shortbreads)
Thin Mints
Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties)
Thanks-Berry-Much
Lemon Chalet CremesIf we get the go-ahead for a booth sale, I will let you know immediately - but it wouldn't be until March!
-
march dang
, i'll wait for march. let me know when the booth thing comes and where
. i'll drop by. -
xlizelx,
I would approach About Time first. Their Kids Day and Social Media projects make me believe the owners would be very supportive.
-
Good thinking. I will stop by on my way home from work

hmm is it similar to the website where you sign up and they'll call you? lol every year i sign up nobody ever calls!!

I have never heard of such a thing -- the number should have a person to tell you where a nearby troop is for them to come sell to you.
I am in the works for a booth sale -- I can get you cookies in April, promise!
-
when you get the boot post
, i'll drop by and have a few boxes of thin mints ready
.
