Got Balls? Knit Your Ass Off In January '11!
Got balls? Start cleaning house by dipping into that massive one-ball stash.
In January Knit PH is hosting a "Yarn Trade / Yarn Give-away." This event is great for gathering materials for your multi-colored/textured crochet or knit projects. Plastic grocery bags, Yarn Swift, and Wool Winder will be provided.
Here are the rules:
1. Bring your balled or skein yarn, provide a label that describes brand and fiber content.
2. Label your yarn as "Trade/ Give Away."
3. Put your name on all "Trade."
4. You must reclaim your yarn if it remains unclaimed.
This event is NOT a free-for-all yarn grab, bring something to take something. You don't have to be a Knit PH member to trade but you must bring stash to exchange. Plastic grocery bags, Yarn Swift, and Wool Winder will be provided.

A Knit PH member advised me to include this to the yarn trade description. This addresses a growing concern in our Brooklyn homes.
If you've had problems with wool moths or bed bugs please do not contribute to yarn to the exchange.
Knitting is always funny until someone gets hurt. Let's all head this woolly tale of woe.

Knit PH @ Prospect Perk is canceled for tonight, Tuesday January 1, '11 for concerns of snow safety. Hope to see you at Sharlene's.
Cheers,

The knitting gods have slacked off on their eternal Knit PH damnation: my schedule is free, I'll be there tonight! [Ironically, or not, I'm in between projects. Just a swatch.]

Bring it! See you there.

Knit PH will be launching the new Freddy's with a yarn trade as well — 4th Sunday each month. Is anyone interested in a trading tools in Feb (Brooklyn Needle exchange)?
