    GOOD MORNING, GUYS..

    I MADE IT TO WORK.. TRAINS ARE RUNNING FINE.. I'M THE ONLY ONE IS SO FAR OUT OF 8 PEOPLE..A FEW OTHERS LIVE IN BROOKLYN, BUT I'M NOT SURE IF THEY WILL MAKE IT IN OR NOT.

    Patsy, If we even got a dusting of snow it would be headlines. (and the Chamber of Commerce people would drop dead) I think the last time it snowed in Tampa was 1926. Mind you, it has been cold enough to snow many days this winter and last winter but when the storms come the temps are high enough to produce only rain. If I could figure out how to send a picture on here, I have one of me and one of my neighbor shoveling in Bergenfield NJ in the early to mid 90's. The snow is up to our shoulders. That is why I came here in 1997.

    Morning All -

    I've figured out that in my next life I want to come back as meteorologist. They're always wrong and get paid big bucks for it too. Hey, I can be wrong with the best of them!! The mound in front of my house was shrinking - I was able to see around it to check for traffic - not anymore! I'm back to inching out of my driveway - good thing my block isn't very heavily traveled.

    I didn't go to work yesterday but did today. It wasn't bad getting in. You know there's a lot of snow when the streets in Manhattan have snow on them. It's very messy here but I'm sure by lunchtime there won't be any snow here. I wish they'd take our snow and put it with this snow to get rid of it.

    You're welcome Warren. I'll ask my brother-in-law maybe he knows of some distant relatives who lived on 12th St.

    The "Greenhouse Effect" guys should be hiding. Coldest winter in Florida history, Snow on the ground in 49 states, local paper had an article showing Fall Foilage in this area for the first time ever. Up north you have not had this much snow (with more coming) in about 15 years. Last time it snowed this much in NJ was a few years before we moved down here. I did not move far enough south but in order to get warmer air in January I think you would have to move to Aruba! :scratch:

    Hey Anthony, I am a "people" and I posted. Plus I am still awake. Oh Yea, you said the seniors were still up and I am one of them. I agree with you though. We need something to get a lot of people who have been missing back on the blog. Maybe we could run a contest to see who can make the most posts in a week.     What just happened to me is probably what has discouraged some people from jumping in. I just wrote a whole paragraph on the importance of old friends and keeping in contact with each other via the blog and when I went to spell check the whole thing disappeared. Yes, the changes to the blog have not been all positive, that is for sure. But they (the changes) should not be enough for people to stay away. Patsy, you are on regularly and I am sure Anthony was not referring to someone like you. He is looking for all those many people that used to be on here almost daily and have left for one reason or the other. Folks, life is too short. Do not let little things cut you off from those you care about. I will NOT use spell check so if there are words screwed up so be it! :wink:

    Good Morning all.....

    I have to tell you the other day I was so mad because someone took my shovel right off my porch!!!! Ugh I was furious....last night Kevin looked out on the porch and low and behold it was there!!!! Thank you whoever "borrowed" it.....lol

    Fred I have no plans either but I find plenty to do around the house....like cooking and baking and that just makes me fatter!!!! lol

    Warren....so true, life is all about friends and loved ones and being there for each other!
