Is Time Warner Internet (RR) going out for you today?

I've had service all day. Is anyone messing about in your back yard? Ice on the wires, maybe?

Ours has been super slow for several days. And our cable has been skipping/freezing a lot. I haven't had the correct mental state to call yet.

How pathetic is it that we have become so used to the abuse of our utility companies that we have to psych ourselves up to ask them to fix the products that WE PAY FOR?
OPQ, I totally feel you, but it just irks me so much that this has become our reality.
Mama, check your backyard and see what the cable situation looks like. May be ice/snow related.

My internet has been out since yesterday. It tends to go out for a few days at a time and then it is fine for a month or two.
It is never worth dealing with the 'hold for twenty minutes on the phone then schedule an appointment' game you have to go through.

Homeowner, I totally agree. Part of my hesitation to call right now is that I'm about to leave town and am hoping a miracle happens and it gets better while I'm gone

Last time I dealt with them I got super pissed off. Our cable wasn't working well at all--it was pretty much like we didn't have it due to skipping/freezing. They didn't fix it for several weeks (and lots of hassle to me for appointments) and I was told I would get a credit on my account and not pay for cable during that time if I called when it started working again. I called and was jacked around from operator to operator saying "there's no mention of that in your file, so we can't do it." We can now put a satellite up and I'm really considering it just to get rid of TWC for cable, at least.

Just had an outage of internet service, now it's back. Their cust service is so useless that it discourages anyone from reporting. So many hours of my life have been wasted being on hold or getting transfered on TW, and my internet connection never gets better.

You are lucky you are not stuck with cablevision. I wish I had time warner so bad...

I was missing certain cable channels for almost two weeks, then a few days before the scheduled appointment my internet goes out too. Then ten minutes before the guys shows up, everything starts working perfectly. (and I couldn't figure out why it required an appt to begin with)
I spend 20 minutes on the phone to get a seven dollar credit - nothing for the days the internet was out because I didn't call when it happened. Then the guy has the nerve to try to sell me their phone service. I said "there's no way on earth I'd switch to your phone service based on all the problems I have with your cable and internet". Yes, I can't stand Time Warner.

My connection is moving at dialup speed. A call to customer service netted a reply that there's no area problem. Whatevah!

My connection is just fine.
the only time it has gone out was after the Tornado and I understand that because I looked out the back and SAW the cable hanging down like the pair of very baggy pants!

We had a full on outage on wednesday evening, even my neighbor came over to ask if we were able to get a signal. I did call in and they confirmed there was a local outage and that's all they could do for us. Luckily it was fixed by the next morning. Maybe my street just has bad luck.
