Park Delicatessen is on Groupon — Brooklynian

Park Delicatessen is on Groupon

$20 for $40 worth of flowers and seasonal bouquets at Park Delicatessen. (Park Place near Classon)

Now here's a real question -- do you think that the stores tell Groupon what neighborhood they're in, or do you think Groupon just does it based on their address? This is the second time (Oaxaca was the first) that a Crown Heights place was listed as Prospect Heights and was trying to figure out the motivation. I guess maybe non-hyper-locals may be more willing to travel to the well-heard-of Prospect Heights rather than the when-I-Google-it-I-see-info-about-race-riots Crown Heights .... but who knows.

  • I thought that *was* Prospect Heights, and Crown Heights reaches North only as far as Eastern Parkway. Agh. Where are these things written down?

  • wait ... what? I've never heard that one before ever!

Crown Heights is 100% from Atlantic Avenue (north) to Empire (South).

The East/West is the tricky part. Namely, most people say Washington Avenue is the Western border while recently people have started naming Franklin Avenue the border. The Eastern Border doesn't seem to be in dispute too often (by people on this board), and is generally either Ralph Avenue or East New York Avenue.

  • I don't want to argue with what some realtors call the neighborhood. As far as Park Deli goes the guy nad his wife make some unique flower arrangements and the deliveries show up when they say they will. This is a cool little place, good place to go if you want a gift for a last-minute event.
