Dear Neighbors,

My son's bar mitzvah project is to raise awareness of and support for ShelterBox, a wonderful disaster relief organization he learned about after the Haiti earthquake last January. (They had workers on the ground in Japan on Saturday, the day after the quake and the tsunami). Today he wrote his first diary on a website he and I read and participate in frequently. With the ongoing need around the world, and the especially dire need in Japan, I ask you to go to the link below, read his article and make a donation if you are able to do so. If you do, please indicate that you are doing it in honor of brooklyniac's bar mitzvah -- then we can track how much money will come in based on his efforts. If you can't donate, please go, read it anyway, and remember it for the future. ShelterBox does wonderful work.

Thank you so much.
