Where to get shoes dyed? — Brooklynian

Where to get shoes dyed?

booklaw
edited November -1 in Park Slope

Mrs. Booklaw asks whether anyone knows where in the Slope or nearby nabes she could get a pair of shoes dyed to match the dress she bought to wear for our daughter's wedding this summer?

  • I don't remember the name of the place but shoe store in Bay ridge 5th ave off of 86th street.. down the block from that major Bridal shop (Kleinfeld's?). And congrats of your daughter's wedding~!

  • Ususally the places that sell dyeable shoes will also send them out to get dyed. In the alternative, any bridal shop should be able to help her.

  • Congrats on the wedding!!! The only place that I ever had dye my shoes was the shoe store on Fulton Street (Bakers or Butlers). It is on the corner of Fulton and Hoyt.

  • It's not in the slope but I got my shoes for my wedding dyed at T.O.Dey on 38th St in Manhattan. My dress was a red silk shantung and they did a fantastic job matching the color. It's not a little shoe repair store-- they do custom shoes and rather complex shoe modifications.
