short of shooting the person next door. — Brooklynian

short of shooting the person next door.

what can i do? i got a ticket for putting non recycling into recycling. In the past it was my next door neighbors tenant. Caught her a few times and the garage guy also see's her doing it. I even talk to her landlord about this. he can't seem to do jack about it.

anyway what can i do to fight ticket, this is the first time i got one for this. Tenant called to let me know i got a ticket. i'm like arggggg. not cool. we usually catch her stuff in our bags etc... before we put it out. she must have just left it at the curb and we got the ticket.

  • 24 hour surveillance camera with recorded playback to present in court, investment should pay for itself over time next to this a-hole.

  • i'm hoping for some sort of hearing :p, i do have a vid system. if its write in like stupid car tickets i'm screwed. if there is a choice of in person and a date. i'm good.

  • Ticket for non-recyclables in recycling is only like $35. Barely worth fighting. You can write in a response, have to get it notarized. There are instructions on the ticket.

  • yeah just check the ticket, its cheaper than i thought :p, not gonna fight it lol.

the reason i was super worry is when i first got the building, on the first day of owning it, we clean out the front of the building, but folks kept coming and dump garbage etc.. in front of the building.

we got like tickets that were 500 bucks etc.. a few times. i thought it was one of these. never gotten one of these normal ones before.

    now i feel much better.

  • one reason the next door neighbor might be putting her garbage in your recyclables is that the owner took away those gross, overflowing garbage cans that had been out front. maybe she doesn't know where to put her stuff? you could try writing a note and slipping it under their door. just a thought.

  • I talk to the landlord next door he has them i think he said in basement. He said he talks to her before about this, lady is too lazy to take them downstairs and up again, instead of outside into my cans or sidewalk on her way some where.

the reason he gave me on while taking his can inside is, folks didn't sort out the recycles etc.. while throwing stuff into the bin. while inside he knows who recycles etc.. and not. she is one of the nots.
