Pine Tree to not serve Sushi anymore

Actually, if I were Pine Tree, I would minimize my losses and move on.

I think I would make that back area into fine cheeses, salad by the lb, and/or bakery breads.

All are pretty high profit, and would work with the rest of the store.

I predict the actual fail on thier part was seating in the backyard ...so may have decided against sushi because it will no longer be profitable without the sit down revenue.

This is horrible! The sushi was so delicious, and well priced. So much better than Sushi Tatsu, and less expensive than Gen. And very convenient to pick up on the way home. I hope they will consider selling the sushi in a prepared food section, or something of the sort.

Maybe people are confused because they are looking in the refrigerated cases for sushi. Maybe they dont realize you have to go to the back and actually order it.

Glad to hear Pine Tree is still serving it up. Their sushi is really good and I think its better than Sakura Tokyo on Nostrand (and honestly anyone can make better sushi than Sushi Tatsu- all their food is horrible).
