ATT cell service in south slope — Brooklynian

ATT cell service in south slope

edited November -1 in Park Slope

So I live in the south slope and can almost never have a clear conversation - even though I have a decent signal.

I've called AT&T and they said they're looking into it.

Is anyone else having cell issues w/AT&T? Is it my phone? Phone works okay elsewhere.

Thanks.

  • I'm in South Slope and my AT&T service is horrible. I have 1 bar now, sometimes it goes up, but it means nothing. Sometimes I have zero bars.

I rely on google voice VOIP to make and receive phone calls.

It probably isn't your phone since one of the people living with me has AT&T and also has horrible service, and the other, with Verizon, has fine service. It's AT&T.

  • It's AT&T. My wife's phone would drop calls whenever she moved away from our 7th Ave facing windows. Switched to Verizon and now she can make calls anywhere.

Side story: For all those years while iPhones were exclusive to AT&T, I could never understand why people bought them - Every time I would hang out, one of my smug iPhone using friends would borrow my Verizon phone to make a call or look something up on the web b/c their expensive iDevice had no service :D For a while I had Virgin Mobile - and even that had better service in the city.

  • I received a free ATT Microcell after I complained A LOT. I can now actually use my iPhone as a phone in the South Slope in my apt.
