Subject: Easter Parkway median project
Hi all,
got this note too late, and missed this meeting! i really would like to know what the plan is. can anyone who went share what you learned? thank you so much! -
Yes, those two posts above are from 2006. FIVE years ago.
...and, yes, there have been lots of community meetings since then. But some part of me decided to dust off this thread to advertise the upcoming meeting in order to show that this project continues to be discussed, and work has finally begun.
Now that the heavy equipment has arrived, I love the a group of my neighbors are "shocked" at the changes coming, despite the fact they were approved by CB8, prior to CB8's approval the DOTs proposal/plan was advertised for literally 5 years on street poles, newspapers, web pages, and at local religious institutions.
Numerous community meetings were held over the last five years.
Now that the construction equipment has arrived, I predict the "shocked" people will want to know about the next meeting. I am happy to oblige:

You gotta love never ending democracy! It is kind of like watching a channel that shows nothing but the Jerry Springer show.
...on the positive side, I gotta hand it to the people at DOT. They seem to have amazing patience for answering the same questions over and over.
Howdy, Stranger!
