The new face of PH

I'm not trolling. Found it interesting how the neighborhood has completely changed. Sort of feels like the gentrification is complete from looking at these pics.
Maybe time to put the house on the market and cash out?

I haven't been in the neighborhood that long, but I think that this year is the first year I have noticed that there are a huge number of young families here. Eh, whatever. I don't want to start anything, just remarking on an observation.

Um, okay. They parked themselves outside of an ice cream shop that sells ~$8 single scoop cones - were you expecting to see Furious and Tre Styles?
-
Whyfi, you made me spit out my drink! Too funny. But I didn't catch they are all in the new ice cream place.

They wouldn't even see me, and I am as bourgeois black as you can get, but I am still cheap enough to go get breyers or ben and jerry's at the supermarket

it had to happen eventually alot of those parents probably look at park slope next door and realize prospect heights is slightly cheaper.

You'll really know the place is "gentrified" when you can send your kids to the local schools. I'll bet a bundle that when these tots reach four and five years old either mom and dad will take the family and move out or they'll be going to private schools.
-
P.S. 9 has become really good, and lots of middle to high income families now send their kids there.
Many involved, caring parents have decided that the school is "good enough" for their child.
-
the camera really just needed to be turned around and pointed at the derelicts that hang out on the side walk next to zaytoons. Totally gentrified? not so much.
-
ph probably needs another 5-10 years to become something like park slope.
-
I should buy on Ralph Avenue now.

I live in Prospect Heights, but I would not want to (and DO NOT) live in the neighborhood depicted in this photo essay.

Interesting that PS 9 is considered "good" now. Now if only they can do something about NYC winters

I only go by what the parents in my building and the websites like this tell me:

Either the hoopla is on the rise, or the school is on the rise.
