Has anyone tried any of the newly opened places?

With Fork serving paninis, soups and salads it sounds like it's in direct competition with its next door neighbor, Pillow.

And Thai 101 Bistro? Seriously?

I'll be surprised if Bechamel, the new Polish place at Myrtle & Hall survives the summer.

I went to the newly opened abistro on DeKalb this weekend. Had the eggs benedict with trout and greens. Fucking delicious. Service was a little spotty but it was their first brunch so I'll give them some slack.

Thai 101 Bistro is totally ridiculous since the same exact place is across the street, but the staff there is really nice. I got a $7 lunch special the other day (pork chop over rice and salad) and it was tasty.

I meant to give Bechamel a shot, but I can't even think of anything Polish food related. Kielbasa? Pierogies? I'm curious to hear reviews.

Thai 101 Bistro is owned by the Thai 101 folks. My guess is they will move into the new space once the lease on the old one expires.

Very happy for A Bistro in Dekalb, and for that long forsaken space! I wish them well.

I never understood the new Polish place, tbh. Shame to lose Jive Turkey for that. I understand that the landlord wanted her to pay 5k per month. If thats what the polish place is paying I dont think they'll survive much longer.

I walked by Bechamel last night and they are more than just temporarily closed. They are done for good.

The tables have all been removed even though the chairs remain and there is no equipment whatsoever in the bar area.

Jive Turkey just moved East down Myrtle, so not totally lost. Except for the jerk chicken grill on the street on weekends.

Wow Bechamel didn't last long did it? Not really the 'hood for Polish food and the place had about as much charm as a muffler shop waiting room.

I didn't know that's where Jive Turkey used to be. Too bad I love that place and wish it was closer.

Does Jive Turkey still refuse to take orders for Thanksgiving, in favor of "first come first served, come too late and no turkey for you!"?
