anyone else building got a summons or ticket for deface side walk?

According to the government piece of mail i got today, I have some how deface the side walk with paint, which isn't true. i haven't touch the side walk since i brought the building, only things i do with it is clean up the garbage on the side walk.

the only paint the side walk has is painted by national gas, which they painted red over the place, they are doing tons of work on the block and in front of my house. yet why would they ask me to remove paint for national gas plus wouldn't it be dangerous since they make those red lines for where the gas lines are etc...

this is on saint marks place between 4 and 5 ave. i was so pissed about this today, drag my friend lawyer along. in the past i just paid the fines, right now budget is very tight and seriously i didn't do anything. in the past even if i didn't do things their tickets or summons says, i usually pay because it was cheaper not to deal with the headaches etc...

so who should i complain this to? only thing is they said i have 30 days to clean up the paint. but i don't see a thing to clean up besides the red national gas red paint. which i don't think can touch.

so frustrated by the asinine government.

    Take a picture of the sidewalk, get confirmation from whomever is doing work on your block to acknowledge the paint/marker, plead not guilty and send it in via UPS or Fed Ex.

    worse thing is they said reply within 5 days of the notice, other wise just clean it up in 30 days or get fined. nothing in between. it been 5 days since it was mail out last week(supposedly dated on the 7th) but got the mail today.

    Had my friend take pictures already. i'll mail out all the stuff tomorrow and hope jerks would realize the logic of the pictures.

    last time i mail out something idiot administrator judge said i was guilty anyway. I don't know if you know the car registration stickers were defective like a year or 2 ago. mines fell off and i sent him a copy of the sticker, instead he wrote on the plead, sticker goes on window!! it was a well known problem with the defective stickers. i had to paid fine etc...

    what dept fined you? Sanitation?

    dept of transportation.

    they came and saw it on a road inspection of the area supposedly. but if they saw they would of saw all the national gas barriers etc.. that was in front of my building and their permits!! some how idiots at the dept gave me the summons. even though i wouldn't touch their sidewalk as they claim.
