The shortage of posters on this board may have something to do with the low standards of discourse and general lack of intellectual challenge presented by it.

Speaking just for myself, if there were some serious posters who took themselves and the board with something other than a grain of salt, I might be inclined to contribute more often.

As it is, those racing to be to the bottom seem to be driving out those with more lofty aspirations.

While the Capt spends his time lecturing this board on how we should be more intellectual and Armchair makes a spot-on diagnosis, I feel the need to distract myself with a copy of today's NY Post.
