JUDY, HOPE THE PARTY WAS INDOORS, I HEARD THE OUTDOOR PARTIES DOWN HERE THIS SUMMER ARE WICKED WITH THIS HEAT!!!

WELL, WE'RE SUPPOSE TO GET 102 TEMPS TODAY BUT I'M SITTING IN A/C, I DREAD WHEN I WALK OUT AT 5 PM.

MY GRANDSON STARTED KINDERGARTEN YESTERDAY, HE LOVES IT!!!!

Hi guys......sick of signing in everyday!!! Still don't have my laptop...it's gone from one service place to the other. Finally sent it back to Toshiba...hopefully it'll get fixed.

MaryAnn....I'm counting down the days...lol Kati starts school Aug 28th and now she finally got a job so that helps!!! I've been feeling really good up until yesterday....lol For some reason my head and stomach are just not right....hopefully it'll pass....thanx for asking.

Good Morning everyone.....wow, summer is moving fast.

Hope all is well with everyone.

As for me....learning to take one day at a time.

My hand is all healed, and I played drums the other night with no problems......Errr, well except for one.

I lost my drumstick bag...I had it for over 30 years, plus it was filled with about $75 worth of sticks plus alot of small accessories and small tool kit. Somebody said to me it was a sign to "start fresh" Maybe get new drums and reinvent yourself as a musician......INTERESTING

Joe, the only thing I can compare your lost stick bag to is when I was on a Jr. Varsity basketball team and I left my bag with my Uniform and sneakers on a BMT train when I got off at 9th Street & 4th Ave Station. We had played an away game in Bay Ridge. I called every number available for lost and found for three days but to no avail. I asked myself over & over how I could do such a thing but you know the old saying. "S--T HAPPENS". :roll:

Hi-welcome back from your vacation Patsy..sounds like you had a great time..Congrats Debbie on the new addition...MaryAnnL...we had a cold front come thru last night-it was 55 here..I was freezing!!! no happy medium...yes I've been pretty busy..wedding set for Sept.8, 2012 but still looking for a reception hall so the date may change if she can't find anywhere for that date...she's coming over tonite & tomorrow night..she's having an engagement party on August 27th..have to go back to work...have a great day everyone......

Hello Few,

Patsy, you & Debbie are the most faithful on the blog. You mentioned a good day for cooking. Last trip to our Butcher we asked if he had small Turkey breasts. He said yes, they were about 3 lbs. We bought one and had him cut it in half. Had one right away and froze the other. Today we are cooking the other half. It is a perfect amount for 2 people with some left over for sandwiches. There is NO waste. To buy a whole Turkey or even have the Butcher cut a whole one in half leaves just too much meat for two of us. Thanksgiving we get together with two other couples (Originally from the Slope by the way) and we have our whole Turkey then. We take turns on whose house it will be in.

After a couple of weeks with rain every afternoon (including some deluges) the last couple of days have been sunny, hot & humid. So long you faithful few. :cheers:
