Inconsiderate suburbanites taking over — Brooklynian

Inconsiderate suburbanites taking over

Ok. Enough!

Even though their influx (or tsunami) is raising property values, way too many unreconstructed suburbanites are flooding in and thinking:

a) they have an acre of property around them

b) have dogs..often big and sometimes multiple dogs

c) think it's perfectly fine for the their dogs to shit and piss where they want and will stab you if you point it out

d) have cars; more and more SUVs are clogging the streets

e) are completely oblivious that living in close proximity to many other people requires consideration first

f) have an attitude that anything they do they can do as long as it is not illegal or otherwise sanctioned; I call it the "never-moved-on-from the dorm room syndrome" in its most extreme manifestation

g) have no idea what it means to live in a neighborhood and observe the norms...

  • Troll? Intentionally provocative first-ever post...

    Don't fall for it, people.

  • so who's the neighbour you're talking about any locations specific?

    I'm game for anything :p.

  • The weather this week has been excellent.

    Anyone done anything exciting?

  • Yeah... don't fall for this bullshit.

I'm sick and tired of people hiding behind their cat humping or otherwise anonymous avatars and posting stupid shit on the internets.

Something has got to give. Lets just shut down this whole site...

  • THE RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH!!!

    Things are drying out nicely.

A lot of people are looking forward to the West Indian parade this weekend.

Mama, that bird probably lives there for free.

  • Things are drying out nicely.

Lol. Um... things were "dried out" around 11am last Sunday.

  • DR-

There were still some big puddles in the park last night.

BTW, I am just curious, are those humping cats both males?

  • Oh noes... puddles.....

  • Don't despair.

Dogs love playing in the puddles.

Doesn't mean it can't sympathize with us.

I'd be more inclined to like the bird if it had a better mustache.

  • Wow. I'm new to the site but 14 years in Park Slope. I guess the majority has gone to the 'burbers with too much time on their hands.

Yeah... I remember being called a troll once before... on RedState.com. It's a badge of honor there since it meant you cared about Truth and Beauty.

Oh well. There goes the neighborhood.

I have to agree. The bird most certainly does not live up to the mustache standards.

  • I wish more birds would realize the importance of creating an attractive appearance.

After all, most people decide on candidates and causes based on the attractiveness of the figurehead, not the cause itself.

  • And one of my favorite causes is rent levels in birds nests.

  • This bird shows a good mustache can be done. ...they just take the proper grooming and attention to detail.

Back in his prime, Larry Bird also knew the importance.

    friggin perfect

  • Since Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, I won't even speculate about Truth. Both Birds are really impressive, but can't hold a candle to our green parrots here in the Sunset!
