Does anyone know anything about these condos in the converted St. John's school building? Went to an open house this weekend for a two bedroom unit on the market for $625,000. Seems a bit steep for the neighborhood. I'm interested in knowing how much these sold for when they went on the market originally, what, two years ago? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I can't give you any info on the condo but I do know for a fact that a registered sex offender lives next door.

he's not technically next door. is this something one should consider?
Only you know if it will bother you to live next door to a man who has been convicted of multiple incidents of 1st degree sodomy.
  • Do you know the address? If it's 259, here are some prices I got from Domania. I know a couple of people who have bought into the building and they seem to like it. It's a quiet, family friendly block. I know at least three families who live right there. Btw, I also live a couple of blocks away and take my son to the local playground. I feel perfectly safe there and have never caught Mr. Sanchez lurking around.

    259 21st St Unit 1C Jul 06 $615,000
    259 21st St Unit R-T Jun 06 $104,000
    259 21st St Unit 3A May 06 $510,000
    259 21st St Unit 3A Feb 05 $456,300
    259 21st St Unit 3B Feb 05 $499,902
    259 21st St Unit BB Feb 05 $418,275
  • Subject: Registries are odd

Always seemed odd to me that we have sex offender registries, but not for psychopathic murderers, or career drug dealers (or double parkers! :D ).
