  • No Engine, No Front End Body work, no interior, popped ignition.

  • That's a big van, the whole A-Team can fit up in there.

  • If we decide to get this van and form our own A Team, I want to play a version of the mentally ill guy who was sprung from the psych hospital for special missions.

    Who would you want be?

If interested, when could you start?

  • I had a crush on Face, even from the Battlestar Galactic days.

I could see you as Murdock, Whynot. It would be a fun role.

  • Does know anyone who can get us an engine, and install it?

  • I want to be BA :p. My favorite character as a kid. Love mr t. hehe.

  • Ok, Armchair is Mr. T

Hannibal is the only original character left.

This van is bigger that the original one, so I suppose we could invent new characters.

  • There is always the semi-useless girl reporter...

  • Her hotness was maybe the only thing that kept her from being totally useless? :)

AW, which one was hotter? Or did it not matter which actress was playing "female reporter"?

  • Puzzling. How did they get it there without an engine?

  • lol post their pics and i'll tell you :p. i forgot by now lOL. its tooo long ago.

  • Tate-

You can expand the cast. Just pick a character from some other show.

  • Eh,

I'm really not good with any kind of suspense, even the sort that finds a certain van racing through underbrush that could be South America, California, or any other landscape that looks suspiciously alike.

My fight or flight instinct is more like Stop Dead and Surrender. I am just the sort of person that might admit to something I didn't do. So, I'm just not sure I would be an asset to such a fearless bunch as the A-Team.

:) Thanks for the offer though.

  • I do not imagine Mamacita or Armchair to be fearless.

  • I can be when the moment is right.

  • I guess we could have two Mr Ts.

You guys have to buy your own gold though, and that stuff is expensive lately.

  • Three vans stolen. Two recovered.

The one missing is a white rental van?

Nah, that would be too much of a coincidence. And too funny, in a twisted way.

  • Police are still looking for a white Econoline van with Oklahoma plates was stolen from a self-storage facility in Jersey City. Phone lines and alarms were cut at the site of the Econoline van theft.

Am I going to have to walk over there and see for myself whether it is still there, and a Ford Econoline?

  • So no A-Team and Company then?

  • Tate-

I think we should use a van with an intact engine.

  • I suppose. Details details.

  • If this turns out to be the 9/11/2011 Scare Van, I will be so happy. This board will have found a van that police forces across the tri-state area are seeking.

I wish the OP would have left an intersection to help me out.

  • Cops also are continuing to keep an eye out for another stolen vehicle, a white 2007 Ford Econoline with Oklahoma plates, which was taken from a Budget car-rental outfit in Jersey City on Aug. 20, Kelly said.

They don't say whether it was a 15 passenger version, but here is what an intact, white 2007 15-passenger Econoline Van looks like

  • You people definitely have too much free time....

The backstory on the van to date:

A neighbor said it was towed to the spot by another car friday morning.

It was intact sans engine and drive train.

He alerted a passing patrol car. They told him to call 311.

On the night I made the original post, when I passed it, it was intact. When I came back, the front end body work had been removed.

All of the doors bolts are loosened as if prepared for easy removal.

    I called 911 and 311 that night.

It is not the missing van they are looking for, as this has Virginia plates. XLE-9258

    Ford Econoline 350

It's located on the Park side of Brower Park.

It's still there as of this posting.

  • If I was wed to my theory, I would point out that plates can be changed.

...but I am not. ...and there are probably dozens of stolen Dollar Vans and Church Vans being driven around or gutted as we type.

You have to admit, it would have been excellent if it was the missing Terror Scare Van of 2011. ...and if my fellow bored posters really wanted to form an A Team, I'm sure they would not need a stolen Terror Scare Van to give us street cred.

I'm sure these people are so cool, they could buy a Honda Odyssey and trick it out.

  • It probably was a stolen plate on it, as it had NY Reg and Inspect stickers on the windshield scratched out.

It would not have been "excellent" if it were the missing van. There is already enough going on in this hood.

and as for the bunch who want to make an A team van, might I suggest a refrigerator box and crayons. Just make sure you give everyone a chance to "drive"....

  • I hear about the auto shops along Pacific Ave getting busted once and a while. Maybe the engine is in one of them?

...I hope this 'hood doesn't become one with lots of gutted cars again, but yea auto crime is supposedly up.
