Netflix Raised Rates and Split Plans - Opinions?

  • Cool, thanks.

Anyone use Hulu Plus over Netflix? Anyone use both? Overkill?

  • I tried Hulu Plus very briefly, specifically to catch some shows that Netflix doesn't carry, but canceled right away after getting sick of the commercials (maybe 2 or 3 in a 20 minute period of time). I just refuse to pay for a streaming service that has commercials.

  • I am done with netflix. I download movies now off the internet instead. It is free.

    It is stealing.

  • We have Hulu Plus and Netflix.

Main reason we got Hulu Plus in the first place was so we could watch directly via the Playstation (otherwise we would have to manually hook the computer up to the projector every time we wanted to watch something). Sucky thing is, some shows (ie, all the ones we watch - Louie, Wilfred, Archer) will only play via the computer/web, and not Hulu Plus on the Playstation. I don't get the logic of this.

Nice thing about Hulu Plus is that we get to watch beginning episodes of Bob's Burgers (anyone needing their Archer fix should watch this show).

There are a lot of tv shows on Hulu Plus that are not on Netflix. I haven't really browsed through the movie selection on Hulu Plus, but it's probably not as extensive as Netflix's. There are only so many Criterion Collection movies I can watch.

If Netflix doesn't improve their movie selection soon, we will probably cancel once we finish with Mad Men and Breaking Bad.
