Those clouds are very impressive, they were black and low lying and tumbling. And Thunder!

I heard from on the ladies here, that NJ got a tornado.

  • I was doing stuff around the house and planning to take the dog for a long walk when I was done. I called the dog and then realized it had gotten really dark out--the sun was out like 30 minutes before. He understood the potential to get soaked and quickly did his business so we could get home before the heavier rains came.

Looking at some of the clouds, I thought, "I hope we're not about to get another tornado". Luckily the forecast makes it look like we're just getting a nice drenching.

  • *checks in to stormnadopocalypse

  • For a sec there, that's what I thought, but now it's just blankets of rain. Let's hope the roof doesn't leak :-)

  • I hope this stops before I have to leave work.

  • The forecast has been for rain, about an hour from now, for days. I didn't actually think it was going to happen. Now no long walk for me the dog this evening, but at least this should cool it down and lower the humidity some.

  • Hah, major lighting bolt outside my window appearing to strike just a few blocks away near the intersection of Hawthorne St. & Bedford Ave in PLG.

No delay in thunder obviously since it was right there.

    That'll get your attention.

  • Opossum, don't put on your Pj's yet, the sun just came out where I am :sunny: Shep can get his afternoon walk after all.

  • Haha...well, I've got a meeting and then dinner plans with others. He'll just have to stare at OKing until he throws toys for him tonight.

  • and now.. The sun shineth!!

  • mamacita, in jersey! right up my mom's block. waiting for the 11 o'clock news to see her neighbors being interviewed.

  • BP-

I hope no one was hurt, and hereby predict the newscaster will be standing by a car that has been crushed by a tree.

  • Windbreaker for effect?

    Windbreaker for effect?

    Yup.

...and extra points if s/he says something like "only hours before this, Mrs. Jones dropped her kids off at daycare in this VERY CAR".

You gotta keep folks scared. Especially folks that live in cars under trees. They are most at risk, after all.

    BPotter-

    What channel should we watch?
