HELP!...Found baby: Police not helpful,
Does anyone recognize the angelic face of the child posted below?
Earlier today 2 people were arrest on 5th street, 8th ave to prospect park west for reasons unknown to me. They looked like junkies. Unfortunately, the police stormed off with the man and the woman and did not realize that the baby stroller left near the stoop quite possibly belonged to the woman. Perhaps they thought the baby belonged to me so when they arrested the parents they did not bother to check and see if the stroller belonged to them. The 2 people arrested looked quite high by the way. By the time we noticed the stroller was abandoned it was too late.
A call was placed to 911 for the police to return
for the child but they told me that a car would be sent shortly. 2 hours later there was no police car. Eventually I made it to the train station and headed home to Manhattan where I once again called 911. This time they gave me the number to the precinct and I called. Shockingly, the police officer told me that they could not send a car to pick the child up and that I basically had to return to Brooklyn with the baby. I sensed that the request was more like an order.
I decided to heed the policeman's advice and return to Brooklyn with the child but not before posting a picture of the lovely child and hope that someone recognized the small boy. As I type this thread I am waiting for the car service that will schlep me back to Brooklyn. I pray that they reimburse me for the cab ride and above all I pray that the child is returned to his family instead of being placed at a filthy city child service center. The police are notorious for this.

taking a child that is not yours to manhattan? Isn't that kidnapping? And wanting to be reimbursed? Are you crazy?

Well, this is a first for brooklynian! Cute kid. I'm glad you found him instead of owler.

Wow Brit Princess way to make light of a serious situation.
This is obviously a serious matter well worth the attention of the proper authorities.
-
Yeah, sorry about that. Sometimes my evil twin gets the best of me. Although, it does not seem that the authorities did their job well with this one. I also wonder what in he'll was wrong with the parents that they did not yell out that their baby was being left on the street. I hope the child is alright.

Totally real.

If no one claims the child how much are you willing to accept for the bundle o joy?
I always wanted a kid of my own but it was not in the stars for me.
If you do accept my offer I think I will name him "Joseph".

Much like tsarina said, are you out of your mind? WHAT would make you think to bring the child home with you instead of IMMEDIATELY going to the local precinct? Please tell me you have since gone to the precinct and, yes - unfortunately, the child will have to be put with child services.
Also, if you KNEW this child was likely with the couple that was arrested, why are you posting this baby's picture on a blog post as if he is somebody else's? And why do you think this forum is the appropriate place to post this info? You took a BABY from the park, not a cat or a dog.
I can only shake my head at some of the posts I read here. I'm not sure we're all playing with a full deck of cards.

This post is about as real as Pamela Anderson's boobs.
Notice the original poster never came back? It's a troll post people, meant to get ya'll riled up and to disrupt the community for shits and giggles.
-
I'd much rather talk about Pamela Anderson's boobs than Carlos or Chris.
Maybe we will get more people with sense of humor (like Paula, jfrak, and the OP) to make their first post ever, if we talk about huge fake boobs.

A troll revealed!
-
Feed it some taffy.

We should tattoo TROLL on the baby's chest. Then ask the parents to post a pix of the tattoo every year so we can watch it stretch.
-
Obviously a fake story because people who live in Manhattan don't call car services, they hail cabs.
