Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread (Continued)

Hi All, Just to clear up some things. I FAILED the stress test and that is why I have to go in the Hospital for the Catherization from my groin to the heart. They then will be able to determine how many blockages, how severe they are and will stents do the job or if I need open heart surgery.

The least I will be in the Hospital is overnight.

hi everyone,hope all our well,to old goat i have been reading about you and your wifes health issues.i will tell you what helped me and my family a little with some health issues.i listen to 2 people who i don,t like to use the word genuis,but if you get a chance if you can get the radio station 1600 wwrl a.m maybe on computor,please listen to jerry hickey and dr pressmen.9am est and 10 am est monday thru friday and just listen,and in a week or 2 tell me what you think about both of these people.as i said its just a suggetion,both of these people have helped me personally.with me blood pressure and weight.and i drink 8oz of distilled water every hour that i,m awake if i can.its just a suggestion.old goat you may or may not like it.but if nothing else i learned alot from them.o.k. everyone take one day at a time and do the best you can bobbyc

To Bobby C. Thank you for the suggestion. I live in Florida and would not get NY radio. You did mention I could probably get them on line. I am extremely careful about medical advice. I have 6 Doctors and get plenty of advice from them. Some of our medical problems overlap. For instance, it just dawned on me yesterday that I have to warn the Cardiologist and the hospital about the radiation damage to my veins in the groin area. That is where they start the procedure. I also have to warn them about the possibility of inserting a Catheter for the same reason. They may have to have a urologist at the procedure. The problem with outside advice can be fully shown with the "Watchful Waiting" treatment for prostate cancer. If I had listened to that advice I would be dead now. The Biopsy on my Prostate showed "Gleason" scores of 7's, 8's and 9's. That is as high as they can get and I received a "Triple Treatment " program consisting of drugs (both oral and needles)radiation & radioactive seeds. My PSA tests now show <0.1. That is as low as you can get.

If we did not follow through on the Surgeons advice for Carol to get a Colonoscopy before he treated her Hemmoroids, she would be dead now since they found a malignant tumor that was causing her rectal bleeding that the surgeon removed. Her treatment (radiation) probably led to her I.B.S.IT is a very uncomfortable side effect but she is still here!

That brings us to my Heart Catheritization next week. I have shortness of breath, chest pains & I failed the stress test. To ignore all that would be fatal & dumb of me for sure.

Again, thanks for the advice and concern but I will stick with the medical advice we are getting. :roll:

I want to thank you all for your prayers and thoughts for my brother Willie. Thank you for those who made it to the wake. I really don't know what else to say, it was a shock that he went so fast.But maybe it was for the best,he didnt suffer as much as Nickey.
