I really need to try Ben and Jerry's new SNL based ice cream "schweddy balls" -it actually sounds good, I love Whompers.

Sadly I can't find it anywhere. Can you guys keep an eye out for me and post if you see it locally? I need my ice cream fix!

There seems to be some controversy, naturally, over the name and markets are not stocking it. It is a shame really.

  • This was a major marketing folly.

They should have played it safe, and called it by its proper name:

    Smegma

  • I randomly saw it at Angie's Deli on 4th and Warren a few weeks back.

  • oh why did i click on Whynot's link???

I'm grossed out for the day (and perhaps the weekend too).

  • sorry Frisco!

We were already talking about schweddy balls, and I thought the supermarkets might be willing to stock it if they used a more professional term.

  • At least he didn't click on Santorum.

(not linking to search results for that term)

  • Jeffery-

We may need to post on a site that is more medical in nature.

  • Yes. There is little on this site in the way of healing.

  • Some women try to find schweddy balls at the supermarket, others wear revealing clothing and head to the local bar.

I hope Mamacita gets her needs met, while keeping her dignity.

  • crowdsourced google maps s.b. finder:

CLICK HERE to find yer Schweddy Balls!

Both Brooklyn sighting locations posted thus far are within 3 blocks of an F Train stop. (Peas and Pickles in DUMBO and One Stop Market on Caton Ave in Kensington)

  • I am surprised no one listed the jogging loop at Prospect Park.

Perhaps they will after this event: http://brooklynian.com/forum/park-slope/rock-n-roll-new-york-10k#post-745250

  • Noooooooooooooo.

  • Given the amenities listed:

live bands on stage, cheerleaders and themed water stations at every mile, finish line festival, post race concert, participant tech t-shirt, finisher’s medal and awards in all age divisions.

Would you be surprised if there was a Ben & Jerry's cart?

  • The Village Market on the corner of 7th ave and 11th street (red awning) has it. Just saw it last night as I was picking up non ball shweddy ice cream.

  • 12th St Market on the corner of 8th ave and 12th has it too.

  • I bought a pint at La Dolce Vita (7th ave and 14) or Union Market on 7th ave. I forget which one, but those are the only two places I regularly shop.

And I should say, it is just ok. I like the name and thin it's funny. I'm really looking forward to the Dexter one. reportedly has a red vein through it and chocolate chuncks of severed body parts!

  • It's at the new bodega on Vanderbilt next to the Usual.
