Hello,

This is Keldy Ortiz, and I am a reporter with The Brooklyn Ink. I am doing a story on people (under the age of 45) who have been recently let go from their job, and would like to speak with any people who have been recently unemployed. I would like to hear your story. Please contact me via email at [email protected] or 718-930-1943.

  • In August 2011, Brooklyn's unemployment rate was 9.6 percent, slightly lower than the 10.3 percent seen a year before. But with a labor force in the borough of about 1.1 million people, more than 109,000 are still without work.

Are you one of the thousands in Brooklyn who can't find work? We want to help tell your story.

Please contact [email protected] if interested in being profiled for The Brooklyn Ink.
