Just saying. The sign on the storefront says.

  • Good thai. We need a "Song" on Vandy!

  • It would be great if we could shoot for something higher than Song, let's pray for a Wondee Siam or a SriPraPhai. I would happily kickstarter that initiative.

  • signage makes me think it's going to be standard fare. Not sure why, but I get a 'cheap' vibe from it.

hopefully i'll be wrong and we'll have world class sashimi on Vanderbilt.

OT - heard that Ample Hills was broken into this week. Also a theft (robbery?) at 1 of a find Vintage shop. Saw cop cars there mid afternoon.

  • we have excellent sashimi at gen. i'd welcome another good japanese to the hood, but settling in halfway between gen and geido, it will have to be good or it will die quickly.

  • The neighborhood may be becoming dense and wealthy enough that it can support places that do most of their business at lunch, not dinner.

    ...so, mediocre might cut it.

  • too bad, but probably true. especially once the arena kicks into gear. if the restaurants around msg are any indication, overpriced and mediocre is the way to go.

  • Why so pessimistic, people? Maybe it will be good.

  • i'd be happy to be wrong.
