Internet Speed Question- Near parkside

I don't know if this makes any difference but I live near Parkside Ave- which I think is part of Prospect Lefferts.

I currently have Cablevision/Optimum online service and we've been noticing inconsistent internet speeds. It decreases during prime hours- weekday evenings and weekends.

Thinking about switching to Verizon. Do any of you who live in the area have Verizon's high speed internet (not Fios- because it's not available near here)?

Are you happy with the service?

    Verizon won't even give me DSL where I am.

    Yes, Cablevision experiences periods of saturation. I have their Ultra service which gives me 100mbps off-peak but during peak hours I sometimes get as little as 10mbps.

    This is still faster than all but the most expensive DSL service from Verizon, which is considerably more expensive.

    I think we will give cablevision another chance. We are going to try boost. I hope it works!
