Roadwork on Bergen St. - Where'd my car go?
I accidentally left my car on Bergen St. between Carlton and 6th Ave yesterday (Monday, Dec 12) when they repaved the street. Somehow I missed the signs. One of the residents on the street told me that the cars parked there were relocated. But I don't know where. Nor does the 77th Precint. There are a couple cops looking now. (I also checked with the Brooklyn impound lot and they don't have it.) Does anybody know where the relocated the cars that were towed from Bergen yesterday?

Have you tried the DOT?
Good luck

The DOT site suggests calling 311, which I did. Any suggestion of another way to get in touch with them directly? (And DOT's 511 line is a totally automated system that didn't get me anywhere.)

Unfortunately, you will likely be better off walking the neighborhood to find it. My friend had her car moved for road construction over the summer (or maybe something parade related on Franklin) and the precinct had no clue where it was relocated to. She found it within 15 minutes by walking the neighborhood.

Same thing happened to me and they moved it a few blocks away.
My experience has been that they just tow it to a legal street spot.
Searching around will probably be your quickest option.

Check Pacific between Flatbush and Carlton. I would assume they would move them there since it it blocked to all other traffic. Good luck.

Thanks, everyone. I did find it. It was on Bergen between Flatbush and 5th Ave (I didn't think to look on the Park Slope side of Flatbush.) What a relief-no tickets or anything.
It turned out that they accidentally reported the moved cars to the 78th Precinct (because it was right there) instead of the 77th. Yesterday, the operator at the 78th Precinct claimed there was no way that they would have any info about it becasue the block is not in her precinct(even when I suggested that mistakes happen), so I went in person this morning and the officer on duty found a scrap of paper stuck in the logbook locating my car. (The 77th kept telling me to report it stolen because they had no info, but three times the cops showed up, and each time they didn't take a report saying it was obviously not stolen and they'd go look for it. Each time they never even called me back to say they couldn't find it.) Anyway, you were all right. The best thing to do is find it yourself.

That's pretty frightening - how long were the signs up for, do you know? Is there some sort of set warning period, or do they just decide they'll be working the day before?
